DEI Evaluation - Interim Synthesis Report for Year 4
Social Dynamics issued the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) Interim Synthesis Report for Year 4 on August 1, 2016.
The purpose of the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) Evaluation is to report to the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and Employment and Training Administration (ETA) on the implementation, outcomes, and impact of the DEI. While the main research questions of the Evaluation concern employment outcomes and the impact of the program on job seekers with disabilities (JSWDs), other questions focus on the use of service delivery strategies and the implementation of grant requirements.
There are a total of 166 Workforce Development Areas (WDAs) in Rounds 1–4: 55 Round 1, 34 Round 2, 55 Round 3, and 22 Round 4. Rounds 3 and 4 grantees will be added to the DEI analysis in 2016 and 2017, respectively. This fourth-year interim report provides findings on the implementation and outcomes of the first and second rounds of DEI grantees. Round 1 began in October 2010 and ended in September 2013, while Round 2 began in October 2011 and ended in September 2014.
