Mental Health Awareness Month 30 Second Training Series

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and a great opportunity to share a series of 30 Second Trainings on mental health developed by the National Disability Institute's Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) Training and Technical Assistance Team.

These 30 Second Trainings are designed to increase awareness and promote knowledge around mental health that includes useful information and resources for follow up.  These are excellent trainings to share with job center staff to enhance their awareness of psychiatric issues that some of their customers may experience and potential resources available to them.

It should be noted that employment and related economic self-sufficiency are significant factors in mental health well-being and recovery - the workforce system at large has an important role to play in the context of emotional well-being at the individual and community level.

The series includes information on:

  • Compassion Fatigue
  • Mental Health Month
  • Mental Health Awareness in Adolescents
  • Schizophrenia
  • Veterans and  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Note: These 30-Second Trainings should be viewed as a "Slide Show". To listen to them with sound, once in Slide Show mode, click on the “volume/play” icon in the lower left hand side of the screen as you visit each slide.
